A Bluegrass music concert series is being held this summer in Northern Kentucky at Taylor Creek Park, the riverfront park on the Ohio River that straddles the boundary between the cities of Bellevue and Newport.
The free concert series – known as “Kentucky Bluegrass on the Ohio River” – are held three times this summer from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The concerts are sponsored by WesBanco, VS Engineering, and Southbank Partners
The Bluegrass bands scheduled to play during the concert series are:
· July 1: Steve Bonafel & One Iota
· July 15: Ma Crow & Company
· August 12: Steve Bonafel & One Iota
The concerts will showcase Taylor Creek Park — the park along Riverfront Commons that is located between Joe’s Crab Shack and The Chart House on Riverboat Row — which was completed two years ago.
“Since it was such a hit last year, we are excited to bring back the Bluegrass concert series this year to Taylor Creek Park,” said Jack Moreland, president of Southbank Partners. “You can bring the whole family to these free shows. The park is the perfect location for a summertime concert series.”
People attending the concert are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the venue.
