RED BIKE LAUNCHES IN COVINGTON
Covington – Red Bike will open 6 new bike share stations in Covington, Kentucky June 24th. They are part of Red Bike’s expansion into Northern Kentucky. Red Bike is the first public bike share system in Kentucky. Mayor Sherry Carran will lead the launch of the newest and most fun way to get around Covington.
Red Bike opened 30 bike share stations in Cincinnati last fall with the support of Mayor John Cranley and Cincinnati City Council. Cincinnati has embraced its newest form of public transportation. To date, Red Bike is ahead of all projections. 958 people have become members of Red Bike and Cincinnatians have taken over 46,700 rides on Red Bikes.
By the end of the week, Red Bike will have grown to 50 bike share stations throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Red Bike will open in Newport and Bellevue soon. Last week, stations opened in Northside and at Cincinnati State in Cincinnati.
